Here is an orange houmongi that was made using authentic shibori (tie dye) techniques. You can see the unique shape of the white/orange edge, which is due to how the fabric was tied together when died.
There is also golden accenting around most of the patterns, bringing out the beauty in the range of flowers presented, such as cherry blossoms, peonies, Chinese bellflowers, and chrysanthemums.
